Wandering the World of Dropped Crystal

Lampwork Beads

My lampwork glass beads are created on 1/16 or 3/32 mandrels from a variety of soda lime glasses. I’m using combinations of Effetre, Double Helix, Creation is Messy and Trautman Art Glass. The glass is like crayons – you can’t just use one colour.

I started making lampwork beads to provide myself with unique pieces. They’ve made wonderful gifts, conversation starters and focus pieces for dressing up or down. I make all of the lampwork glass beads featured in this jewellery, focals and spacers. Each of the focal beads is unique. I use a variety of Swarovski Crystals, chain, silver beads, base metals, leather, seed beads and silver.

Completed pieces are available at Route 22 Artist Collective in Cochrane, Alberta.

I’m so glad you’ve come to visit my site and designs! I’m a Canadian artist based in Cochrane, Alberta. The colours and different designs that are achievable when working with glass intrigue me. I enjoy using the shapes and colours to create magical lampwork beads that provide unique wearable artwork. Each bead can become part of beautiful and individualized jewellery.

The Lampwork Glass Beads I create provide me with a immense pleasure. The torch and flame are calming and help to reduce my stress. As you wear it, the glass absorbs your warmth and feels lovely against your skin. The beads can be incorporated into your own jewellery, suncatchers or dream catchers, wherever your imagination takes you.

Individual lampwork beads or jewellery, can be purchased. I have used the lampwork beads in necklaces of varying lengths with a variety of stringing material and accents. They are sure to make a wonderful addition to the little black dress, or to jeans and a t-shirt.

I make them, so you can enjoy them.
